The famous banner of Kannada films Sowmya Films is back after six years. It is back with a bang. BC Patil and Vanaja Patil daughter Srushti is making debut in this ‘Happy New Year’ a debut by Pannagabharana son of national acclaimed director TS Nagabharana.


BC Patil went to TSN with an intention of making a TV Serial with village background but TSN touched his son Pannagabharana who has several scripts. After hearing to five scripts – Patil was convinced because for this generation style his daughter Srushti agreed and his wife Vanaja Patil approved the strength of the script. So it is ‘Happy New Year’ a combination of happy and emotional moments.


It is a kind of Dashavathara with five heroes and heroines in ‘Happy New Year’. Like how the you find the crowd to welcome the new year, this Happy New Year is also getting huge star cast such as Vijay Raghavendra, Diganth, Dhananjay, BC Patil, Sonu Gowda, Shruthi Hariharan, Rashi Ponnappa, Saikumar, Margarita from Russia are in main cast.


The confident address came from Srushti debutante from this film. After college I have joined acting course, looked after school and college activities of the family, took a break for one year and the script of Pannagabharana impressed me she mentioned in a cool address.


BC Patil is very happy with the script of Pannagabharana. I have seen the abilities of my brother Ashok Patil in him. He is so detail in his work. As the time is now perfect for newcomers, we have entrusted this film to Pannagabharana. It is like one ticket five films experience from this Happy New Year observes Patil.

The muhurut for this film was held on August 25, actual shoot goes from 22nd of this month. It is ten days schedule at Hirekerur for my portions. I play a rowdy in this film disclosed Patil.
